Some of the creatures are interesting and the bad guy is really well acted, but I never felt the "war" movie and the "kid fantasy" movie were that perfectly meshed together well in PL. Just not for me they weren't. Some of the CGI isn't so hot these days, either. Cronos remains the one GDT film I really like.
