IMO the term "cracker" doesn't really apply to white folks from outside the US. And if he's said anything racist, I'm unaware of it (though it would certainly be ironic given his well-known infatuation with the blues)..
It is unfortunate that he's an admitted anti-vaxxer and went as far as to write a song about it (no, I haven't heard it) though. But since I haven't cared about his music since the 60's, it's not something I think about very often.
