I had to play piano at all sorts of crappy small town/county talent shows out here and every single one of them had a least three groups of little girls in bike shorts line dancing to the Billy Ray Cyrus turd.
Personally I think that Blake Shelton "we don't do the dougie here" song is actually worse.
I guess I don't mind "Old Town Road," the country/rap/Nine Inch Nails song that he that topped the charts for 16 weeks with Lil Nas X. At the very least it led to some very funny comments on the Youtube page for the Nine Inch Nails song it samples. And hey, we can always give him Mulholland Drive, though perversely enough he's admitted that David Lynch himself told him to become an actor!!!
The older rock star that my generation thought of as "a druggie" wasn't Clapton though, it was, for some reason, Tom Petty. I guess Petty had that "let's roll another joint" song. I didn't realize until I got older that Petty was a classic rocker who had MTV hits and not a country singer, maybe I was thinking of NASCAR because of his last name.
