In spite of Zeppelin being the band that got me into music, I hate reading about their excesses and avoided Hammer Of The Gods. I have probably not devoted 45 minutes of my life to the stupid mud shark story but I always heard that Zeppelin caught the mud shark then cut it up into pieces and sexually inserted pieces into a groupie (this is where "red snapper" puns come into play.). Your anecdote says they sexually assaulted the shark itself?!? What, was that Jimmy doing an Alesteir Crowley bestiality ritual? Is that in Thelema?

The second story sounds like the early Alice Cooper concert where a chicken was tossed into the crowd, who then tore it apart; Frank Zappa called Cooper up for verification on that.

At this point the most infamous Zep story is probably Page stalking/grooming a teenage girl.
