But TBH Beck was probably the best on a technical level. Clapton is a solid blues guitarist but that's pretty much it. Page did a lot of great stuff with Zeppelin but was more of a studio wiz who was generally underwhelming live. But if we're just talking about who had the most impressive career overall, Page wins by a mile IMO. Which makes it ironic that "Little Games" was the worst Yardbirds album (got tired of that one pretty quickly.
RIP and I'll probably be spinning "Roger The Engineer" and "Rave Up" but never really got into solo Beck (only heard "Truth" and "Blow By Blow" but both of them left me cold- Rod mostly ruins the former and the production/effects mostly ruin the latter).
