I like The Moody Blues alot, but Graeme Edge's poetry is, at its best, endearingly corny.
I like R.E. Howard alot more as a prose writer than a poet. He probably wrote nothing, or almost nothing you'd like. Pigeons From Hell is a haunted house story that is generally regarded as one of his best stories and might appeal to alot of people who would have not time for his action/adventure stories.
I don't know much about poetry. I though of trying to read through all 4 of the Library of American collections in a year this year, but I'd be more likely to finish it on time/enjoy it if I set myself to one a year.
From 2017-2020 I read every Shakespeare play and had a great time doing it, maybe if you thought he was a slog in highschool you should think about giving him another shot now.
