The rest of the band disliked Mind Gardens, with McGuinn saying it had "no rhythm, meter, or rhyme" -- I always laughed at it and would generally be inclined to skip it during a listen of an otherwise quite consistent album, YTY (the other skipper track is C.T.A.-102). Crosby's other solo contribution to that album, Everybody's Been Burned, is much better.
