"I don't know what Everything Everywhere All At Once even is"
How's that rock you're living under? Saw it back in July and thought *I* was late to the party. It's mostly impressive from a quirky, immersive, genre-hopping perspective but as others have pointed out, the emotional core feels a bit unearned. 2nd best film I saw last year after the new Cronenberg but not quite the masterpiece many are claiming it is. I predict that you will think it's stupid and annoying. Haven't seen any other nominated films aside from Del Toro's "Pinocchio" (the songs mostly suck but aside from that I was surprised how much I enjoyed it, especially given that the Disney version is my favorite Disney film and one of my all time favorites) and "The Batman" (awful but we've discussed it enough already) but wanna check out "The Whale", "Aftersun", "The Fabelmans", "Tar", "Marcel The Shell", "Turning Red" and "Eo"
