I mean I guess I can sorta understand where you're coming from because I'm not much of a blues rock fan in general but Zeppelin and the Stones are major exceptions.
I've warmed up to "Satanic Majesty's" a bit but still consider it to be the worst Stones album that I actually own/listen to and a quintessential example of how style/genre doesn't mean much if the material is weak. I'm a sucker for even the cheesiest psych pop but I need good melodies and there's none on there except for a couple of exceptions. There's a ridiculous amount of filler on there and the fact that The Stones released a bunch of great psych pop tunes on "Aftermath", "Between The Buttons" and "Flowers" proves that they were absolutely capable of delivering something far more satisfying than "Satanic".
