The live stuff on that rarities box is the best I've heard from them
I actually like the version of "Five To One"- the irate drunkenness is actually appropriate given the mood of the song and I don't think Jim really ruins that one. And it always cracks me up when he calls the audience "a bunch of ####ing idiots" and then rants about how everyone should "grab your ####ing brother and love him". The box also features cool live versions of "Crystal Ship", "Peace Frog" and "Blue Sunday". The only standalone live Doors I've heard are "Absolutely Live" and "Live at the Matrix 1967". Guess I prefer the former even though it suffers from the problems I mention earlier. The latter is mostly interesting as a historical document due to the subpar sound (Kreiger is barely audible and his playing if often my favorite thing about the band).
