Music Babble

Christmas shopping gets a lot simpler when relatives start dying. My sister, her husband, four boys, a dog, and the au pair just get a big box of (individually wrapped) presents for the whole family. Honestly I can't tell the two youngest kids apart, let alone what to get them. One is dyslexic so I'm being kind of an asshole for giving so many books.

This year it was, uh, a Jacob's ladder, copies of mix CDs, the Dr. Demento Christmas CD, English As She Is Spoke; The Adventure of English: Biography of a Language; Lingua Latina per se illustrata: Pars I, Find Waldo Now, whatever they're calling the yellow Waldo book now (used to be The Great Waldo Search), Katamari Damacy for PS2, an edible bone that was gone in ten minutes. I think that's it. My mom got some burnt CDs, my friends mostly got weed and mix CDs.

I haven't seen my dad in a couple of years but I got him a Christmas present for whenever I see him: Jacques Loussier's arrangements/version of Vivaldi's "Four Seasons". Who knows when that'll be.
