I really like the first Led Zeppelin album, ranking it fourth after the 1971-75 albums, but it's a far more diverse album than people give it credit for--it's bluesy, yes, but also gospelly ("Your Time Is Gonna Come"), primitive-folky ("Black Mountain Side"), pop-rocky ("Good Times Bad Times," "Communication Breakdown"), epic-folky ("Babe I'm Gonna Leave You") and darkly heavy-psychedelic ("Dazed & Confused.") That leaves three blues tracks and the one I'm really into is "I Can't Quit You Baby." And that's because of the "dunnn-DUNNNN!" guitaring in the chorus. "How Many More Times" and "You Shook Me" aren't bad but they're not what I listen to the album for. I agree that the two psych jams on TSMR, which are about 14 minutes of a 43 minute album, are filler, but not the rest of it.
