Alpha Hammer's quip about the Strokes' success looking like a "blip on the radar" now seems more relevant than ever. Meg White turns 49 this year and Jack turns 48, in my mind I was still thinking of them as being sort of young, but their debut was 24 years ago! (I can remember when the Red Hot Chili Peppers were celebrating their 20th anniversary!)
Is there any actual "rock trend" going on these last few years, any at all? Even one that's miserably derivative like the early-aughts "garage rock" revival thingy was?
