Sheryl Crow - one of my guiltiest of guilty pleasures, enjoy all of her hits and even learned how to play "Strong Enough" on guitar but objectively she doesn't deserve to get in
Missy Elliott - not too familiar (only heard her debut) but she's one of the most talented female MCs to achieve mainstream success so she checks a couple of diversity boxes so seems like a shoo-in
Iron Maiden - know their pretty popular among metalheads but I've never been into metal and basically know nothing about them
Joy Division/New Order - vastly prefer the latter to the former (feel like Curtis's suicide accounts for a lot of their popularity) am fine with them getting in but sorta wonder how many other new wave/synth pop groups have gotten in
Cyndi Lauper - yeah "she's so unusual" but TBH I've never understood what the big deal was, even if I basically enjoy her hits
George Michael - "Faith", "Careless Whisper" and "Father Figure" are all pretty cheesy but also enjoyable so I should probably check out his debut sometime- not sure whether I'd say he should get in based on those 3 hits though
Willie Nelson - agreed with Matt re: the questionable nature of inducting country artists but putting that aside, he's definitely an icon who deserves recognition even if he's never been one of my favorite country artists
Rage Against the Machine - they were enjoyable at the time but not sure how well they've endured, especially considering how brief their career was and how negative their influence was
Soundgarden - one of the best and most popular rock bands of the 90's so if they've started inducting artists from that era, they should absolutely get in
The Spinners - don't know them beyond the hits but they're pretty enjoyable so I have no problem with them being the token soul artist inductee
A Tribe Called Quest - fewer hip hop artists deserve it more IMO, especially when you consider how surprisingly solid and relevant their comeback album was (Phife's death might help their chances as well)
The White Stripes - popular and noteworthy for being one of the last relevant rock artists but seems a bit early for them to get in, especially since they seem like more of a vehicle for Jack's obsessions (blues culture, Zeppelin etc) and guitar solos
Warren Zevon - always felt like I should check him out but the fact that "Werewolves of London" is one of the most annoying radio hits ever prevents me from doing so. actually it looks like I did listen to "Excitable Boy" and basically enjoyed it but don't remember it at all
