The Shining is a fine choice for a "favorite movie" list, but it's funny that it's one of the movies you'd pick to watch over and over while stuck in endless isolation.

2 huge favorites I can't pass up: The Searchers, The Seven Samurai (and that isn't one of the movies I've seen most times in my life)

2 comfort food movies that I'd pick knowing that I'll never see another person again in my life: It's a Wonderful Life, Matinee (this isn't a long time favorite, but I rewatched it recently and feel like it fits what I'm looking for here)
