"The Sting" is another one I rewatched recently
Forgot how laughably complicated their scheme is (SPOILER the phony FBI guys are the icing on the cake) but that's pretty much a trope of the grifter film and most importantly, it's ridiculously entertaining and Newman, Redford and Shaw are all fantastic. Also forgot about Shaw's character being the rare mob boss who appears legitimate by obtaining from booze and broads (which is why you can believe that he'd leave all that money behind at the end for fear of being mixed up in a gambling fueled bloodbath.
