He co-starred in some '90s action movie "classics" like Point Break and Passenger 57. In Point Break (1991), he was a DEA agent whose drug bust got ruined by a pesty Keanu Reeves. The culprits? The Red Hot Chili Peppers! In Passenger 57 (1992?), he was a mouthy, former partner of reluctant hero Wesley Snipes (who infiltrated a passenger plane hijacking with only the help of a pretty young woman).

In the late '90s, there was a lot of Oscar buzz about Sizemore getting a best supporting actor nomination for playing a tough sarge. In Saving Private Ryan! Alas, Sizemore was not nominated after all.

Some years later, a friend of mine told me about Sizemore's problems with drugs and prostitutes. As his career started to go back on the rise (supposedly), he has suffered great health problems. So bad, in fact, that his family is going to have to "pull the plug" on him. And I didn't realize he was only 61. Very Sad.
