A good movie to watch alongside Judas and the Black Messiah (which I thought was fine) is Jules Dassin’s Uptight, about a man involved in a black revolutionary group who becomes an informant. Filmed in early 1968 and incorporated footage from an MLK memorial parade - I think most of the film was done by the time he was killed, but his murder adds this level of desperation. Lots of great performances.

Never heard of the 12th Victim but The Seventh Victim is pretty cool imo

I listened to some of the Pretty Things 2015 album, it sounded alright. Dick Taylor seems like he’s had a hell of a career.

Don’t listen to the full Weezer discography, that can’t be a decision that sparks joy in your life.
