12th Victim is a four part documentary (and will inevitably turn out to be at least one part too long, they all do) about Caril Ann Fugate, the teenage girl who accompanied Charlie Starkweather on his 1958 Nebraska killing spree, the basis for Badlands, several other films and one Bruce Springsteen song ("Nebraska," not "Badlands.") I've only watched 35 minutes so far, but there's a lot of disgusting details about Starkweather's killing spree that I wasn't aware of before--what a nasty bastard, a far worse person than Martin Sheen's Kit Carruthers in the movie. (And I already knew that Starkweather killed a toddler.)
I'll make note of Uptight!
I forgot to mention that I plan on watching at least one more Anna Karenina film, though I'm not really looking forward to it.
And Petite Maman, gotta see that one.
