and it was right before seeing the movie which I agree didn't really do it justice (Snyder was clearly the wrong director) but I did think that a weaponized Dr. Manhattan killing all those people was an improvement over the interdimensional alien octopus which was shockingly dorky for an otherwise mature graphic novel. The pirate stuff also got old pretty quick but aside from those quibbles it mostly deserves its rep.

Yeah the characters in "Bodies Bodies Bodies" are some of the most annoying I've ever seen in a movie and yes that was intentional but still made it a chore to sit through even if I sorta liked the twist.
