Which referenced them putting a bunch more categories back into the broadcast, making the show extra long, so I was glad that I didn't watch it. My folks always have a viewing party where everyone gambles on the results but the show was on my gf's bday so I didn't attend. Kimmel's pretty hit or miss but I thought his references to the Will Smith slap were decent (speaking of which, Chris Rock's recently released Netflix special is maybe his best ever and he handles the slap perfectly IMO).

And as has become the norm in the last decade or 2, I've seen so few films and aren't even familiar with so many nominees that I'm really not invested at all. Have already talked about "Everything Everywhere" a few times so don't have much more to add except that while I didn't love it like many folks did, I was mostly entertained and understand the appeal so the fact that it swept the awards was fine with me, albeit a bit predictable (doesn't sound like there were any surprises aside from Angela Bassett's pissed off reaction to losing).
