Cocktails: I've never heard of a sidecar or the other one you mentioned. Will have to look them up. I like a good old fashioned, but they vary from bar to bar. One place around here has a great one, but another local bar's tastes too much like a Manhattan, which I don't like. Mint julips are the same way. They have to be made correctly. Speaking of that, I also like a good mujhito, but not every place around here has mint.

Wine: Ha, ha. I used to prefer dry red wine over white much myself. But my tastes changed over the years.
