I really don't care what other people think of me anymore, or worry if they even just ignore me. It's liberating. I don't have to pretend the Bee Gees or Glen Campbell are a guilty pleasure (or even Pearl Jam- "Alive", speaking of extremely popular '90s songs -- hush you, Billdude, that's like the only Pearl Jam song I like). The last day-and-a-half I've been recommending/introducing music for someone and it's like I'm a god. (As in I have cool taste and can do no wrong, no actual divine powers.)
Just to be clear, it's been going that way for years but the last like 3-6mo it's just been what-the-hell (and yes, it took me long enough.)
