With hard liquor I usually drink whiskey, if I'm ordering a basic drink it's most likely to be a bourbon & ginger beer/ale. But if I'm getting a fancy cocktail I'm pretty happy to try anything that sounds interesting, though an old fashioned is always nice. Don't drink much vodka, can't really deal with aquavit.
I have a bottle of Becherovka around, tried it on vacation in Czechia 10 years ago and really liked it. I tried the Slovak national spirit at some point and thought it was awful.
Similarly with beer I'll try anything that sounds interesting, happy to drink IPA/pale ale/pilsners/stout/sours/weird farmhouse stuff, though I don't care for super intense DIPAs or barleywine. I wish Olympia was still going, I kind of preferred it to Rainier when it comes to cheap beer.
