The first was a grower (not my thing at first but it's a nice groove. Not too big on the vocal -- only sounds a tiny bit like the Chubby Checker everyone knows, with stupid effects all over, but I love the chorus, though it's more than a bit bright. The second is great. Reminds me of "Wasted Union Blues" by It's a Beautiful Day, but with more soul.
Chubby Checker was also in a Social Security ad campaign, I guess when people who were young in 1960 or whenever we're turning 65. Don't feel like doing the math.
