Have you looked at those 65 or whatever NES emulators? They seem to be all home projects of crank hobbyists:

DragoNes is a NES emulator created by Jonathan Phénix. It was originally intended to emulate all of Dragon Quest games. This is a rather primitive emulator. It has no sound and can run few games.

Ed: "A CPU equal to or faster than the speed of a Pentium 200 Mhz CPU is sufficient."
My CPU: *laughs in 3.6GHz*

Man, that readme is old. They must list every single emulator out there.
