Virginia (aaaall the way near the end of the alphabet is ham biscuits, which I guess are both really good and representative of the state (use the salty kind of ham!) but when I think VA sandwiches I think soft-shell crabs. This is probably a coast-versus-inland thing, and soft-shell-crab sandwiches I guess are far from unique in Virginia. Are they there for Maryland?
Is DC on the list? Is a half-smoke (basically a smoked sausage on a bun) considered a sandwich if a hot dog is?
