Those Boetticher movies are godlike, especially Ride Lonesome and Comanche Station, which are two of my favorite movies. But I have the original DVD release of them which was also a 5 disc box set, with commentaries and other features that included a documentary written by Dave Kehr and executive produced by Clint Eastwood. I can wait until the content appears on the Criterion Channel. They've gotten bluray releases before, which might have been bare bones discs. If I was buying new I'd buy bluray , but the DVDs I have look good. But hopefully more people will discover those films because of the Criterion release.
Those five movies and another one he did with Scott, Seven Men From Now, are most of what his reputation is based on. He does have a few other minor classics, but
