Lene Lovich - I think I've heard of her before but forgot where or when. This is a great piece of quirky early 80s new wave. Catchy and instantly memorable with a cool rhythm and that hicupping kind of new wave delivery I really like
Slowly Growing Old - Right off the bat sounds Irish or Scottish.. Really nice folk sound, nice melody.. Instantly memorable
Ezra Furman - Her voice reminds me of Kim Gordon. Very nice, a bit long but she has a charismatic voice and lyrics. Is this more recent? Sounds like it but yet retro to the 80s or early 90s in a good way
The Bangles - a later period 90s album I'm guessing? They were a really cool band. Always had a psych pop or 60s influence that I love, this one no different. This sounds really cool actually - good production and nice sound here, worth checking out for sure if I remember to later.
Madonna - right away it looked like a deep cut from one of her more acclaimed albums from her peak. Interesting sound, more late 80s jangly pop than I'd expect from her.
Ricky Lee jones - wasn't sure if it would be a cover of that old early 60s song but I don't think so. Anyway, nice passionate kind of story song. I like her speak-singing style.
Catharine Howe - first song I heard here as I mentioned above. Nice voice, a 70s folky I never heard and have to check out more
Rxknephew - nice beat, funny lyrics. Fun song. Might have to blast in the car sometime when I'm with my girlfriend to make her laugh, although this kind of thing just gets kind of tiresome quickly
Bucks Fizz - another recent 80s pastiche? Or vintage? I know there's a lot of 80s pastiches out there which I might like although it's a bit tired now. I wish more people would do more cheesier sounds from the 80s rather than the same dreamy pop Kate Bush kind of stuff all the time. Anyway this one is cool. Nice beat, nice melodies, nice 80s sound..can't knock it. Reminds me of Abba, which admittedly I'm not big of a fan of.
Sho madjozi - fun, danceable, catchy. Not huge on it but I can see it being a huge hit (probably isn't but should be)
