But whatever--Electric Warrior, The Slider and Tanx are all great albums.
Ziggy Stardust is glorious but the two followups are patchy. Of course you could make the case that "glam" followed Bowie the rest of his life, it's not like he was terribly interested in making low-key music ever again, now was he?
"Glam" really describes lots of stuff from the early to mid 1970s anyway. Elton John's kinda "glam" too. Hell, so is Led Zeppelin or Aerosmith, to a small degree. Just because they didn't wear make-up, y'know.
I guess I could give Slade another chance, but aside from their huge smash hit I really didn't like much of anything. They were hilarious looking guys though, Noddy Holder looking like a 1970s version of a Dickens character and all.
