Or you know, you could pay people a goddamn living wage instead of begging customers to pay them a bribe. I realize that the institution of tipping is too entrenched (in America; most of the rest of the world seems to do fine without it) in the restaurant and hotel industries to be done away with overnight, but let's not extend that to other businesses, especially goddamn machines.

The chutzpah! (Pardon my Yiddish.) With all the woke history people are learning nowadays (like how the ice cream van song comes from a racist tune), you'd think more people would be aware that tipping in America has its racist origins in the Jim Crow era, and studies have shown to still be racially and sexistly biased (helps to be young, white, and pretty).
