I rewatched a good chunk of B5 last year and was enjoying it, but then I got sidetracked and didn't want to pay for the streaming service so I put it off for a little while and it got pulled from HBO Max. I just now realized that at the same time it moved, for free with commercials, to TUBI. I think I'm just going to rewatch it from the beginning, at this point it's over a year since I watched the early seasons.
I don't really feel like binge-watching anything anymore, not even is suprts. It might be fun to steadily watch 3 to 6 episodes a week, with no more than two a day, like TV back in the old days. When I watched it last year with big breaks and then short binges I sometimes had trouble remember which memorable scenes I'd seen already that watch through and which ones I just remembered from before.
So with the caveat that I haven't seen season 5 in almost 9 years, I disagree with this
> the show should have ended with Rising Star
because while some of that season, espeically the early part, is very dissapointing, it does do some things that you rarely see, by showing you the heroic war and the rock aftermath that sets up future conflicts. I think for all its problems, some of the good points of season 5 are a big part of what set the show apart.
I'll check back in in 4 or 5 months to let you know if I still think so.
