My hometown is like that

Totally built up with gentrified/yuppified apartment buildings and businesses like a tofu bar and a spin-class studio. It was an upper-middle-class suburb but this is off the charts. It's kind of like a liberals-with-more-money-than-sense town, like when South Park (the town, not the show) was like that. I grew up there but I can't afford to live there anymore. The southward creep of luxury-apartment developments (read: gentrification) seems to have abated.
