Music Babble

I’m in Piedmont Ave too. My gf had been at her previous place out there for the past 8 years (and had lived in other places in the neighborhood before that) so she knows it very well and I’ve become fairly familiar with it these past 2.5 years.

Definitely pretty bougie compared to what most folks would associate with Oakland- I often told my gf that her neighborhood was more “new SF” than my previous neighborhood in SF (The Richmond)- but Piedmont Ave itself has a lot to offer. Lots of great restaurants (feel free to recommend your favorites) and artsy shops- Spectator Books isn’t quite as impressive as the best SF bookstores but it’s pretty damn close. And there’s also the Piedmont Theater. Looking forward to exploring the neighborhood more and branching out to other parts of Oakland, Berkeley etc
