Other than Orwell's two best-known novels, I've only read Catalonia and a couple of his essays. I'd like to read more because I think he's a good enough prose stylist that I don't need the content to be that gripping (I found Catalonia interesting but can't remember all that much about the details).
Orwell is supposedly part of the basis for a character in Anthony Powell's "Dance to the Music of Time" who's depicted as somewhat pathetic.
