Music Babble

I've never heard Bowles referred to as a short story writer (not that I'm doubting you!) - I just know about The Sheltering Sky, his association with the beats, and his wife Jane, whose novel Two Serious Ladies is quite good. One of these days I'll read Sheltering Sky.
