If that's really the case then I'd better not ever, EVER watch F/O because if it makes Broken Arrow look like the definition of subtlety then it'd have to be the stupidest, most overblown movie of all f***ing time. BA is quite embarrassing--"yeah, ain't it cool?" The "Howie Scream"? Howie going "what the f*** are you doing?" Travolta getting impaled by the bomb at the end? Gahh gahhh.
If the world isn't "sick of Cage" then it has at the very least caused him to sort of realize that everyone knows he's a complete ham and he has tried to play off of that a bit in his middle age, though it results in him giving somewhat restrained performances in films where everything else is ridiculous, like Mandy and Pig. Or he hams it up knowing he doesn't care what the reaction is anymore. Either way he's about where William Shatner used to be, right?
