This is where my Bowie influence/coaching tree journey comes probably to an end and I end up having a metal phase again.
I remember hearing the Ace of Base version of Cruel Summer a lot in late 90s cuz' my mom would play the pop station when driving me to sports...holy shit this version is way better and has to be on any reputable top 500 songs of all time list. A song this great vaults a band I thought only worthy of maybe 2 or 3 songs in a playlist to worthy of a lengthy greatest hits collection, makes me see all their other songs (their Venus cover huge of course too that goes without being said) with the equivalent of beer goggles. I've probably watched the video on YouTube at least 20 times straight through last night/this afternoon.
