New Pornographers - Brill Bruisers. The first of their albums that I never really paid attention to, was inspired to pick it up after B.D.'s post the other day. It's pretty good!
Cressida - s/t. I think this gets tagged as "symphonic prog" but I prefer to think of it as "prog that doesn't have too many ugly bits."
Alison Goldfrapp - The Love Invention. Not radically different from the dancier end of her namesake band's oeuvre. Decent.
Janelle Monae - The Age of Pleasure. Her last two albums were each less interesting than the one before, so I didn't set my expectations very high for this new one. It was fun enough on one listen without being especially compelling.
Bill Nelson - Blue Moons and Laughing Guitars. This guy has a million albums, and this is one of them. It's okay. Didn't immensely grab me.
Nico - Marble Index. Been a while since I played this, it's very good.
The Pastels - Illumination. GOod.
Bjork - Fossora. Maybe slightly better than her prior couple but still not hugely grabbing me.
Britney Spears - Circus. Not terrible but doesn't hold up to the still great Blackout.
Heavenly - Le Jardin De Heavenly. Good.
The Damned - Machine Gun Etiquette. It's been ages since I played this and I was surprised at how much I remembered.
Sophie Ellis-Bextor - HANA. Fine.
Katy Perry - Teenage Dream. Has its moments.
RAH Band - Mystery. Slick '80s stuff. "Clouds Across the Moon" is terrific, the rest is fine.
Spencer Cullum - Spencer Cullum's Coin Collection 2. A retro folky thing. Pretty good, can't remember whether it's better or worse than volume 1.
Lana Del Rey - Did You Know That There's A Tunnel Under Ocean Boulevard? I did not! Also, this is pretty hit-and-miss but it's okay.
