What a shame. From all I read I was looking forward to 10CC but this is less than enjoyable IMO. Might be good if I were in the mood, and it seems like something that could improve with repeated listens.
I couldn't help but very unfavorably compare the Dio "N.I.B." to the album version, which is unfair. I need to hear Live Evil, but I need to hear Mob Rules and be more familiar with Heaven & Hell. I like the idea of them but I don't really like the music. Like Hendrix.
Low Carb (a FAKE) was accepted into the #### You Crew on the strength of including Randy Newman in his twenty favorite artists. I'd've killed to see how they would have reacted to you. You'd be hard to FAKE though.
LOL, dorky Herman's Hermits singing about a one-night stand. I'm at the point where ambient music is worthless unless it's literally on quietly in the background. I don't need constant musical stimulation anymore -- I usually wear earplugs at home, in fact, and usually use captions or subtitles with the television muted -- so this is all whatever. I like dub-based ambient-ish stuff (check out some of Jah Wobble's work, or even the Orb) these days.
Page & Plant got taken down for copyright. Just as well: I had worn out "Kashmir" (the real Jammu & Kashmir, btw, isn't the Arabian-tinged place the song suggests) by the time I graduated from high school. Totally agree on that.
