Just think, classic rock would then end with "Ripe (With Decay)." The end of classic rock is a six minute instrumental that sounds like something crawling through a swamp at midnight.
The Germs - They're famous because they displayed the least talent of any major punk band. Darby gurgled like an idiot and was a scrawny little lisping kid of a man, Pat Smear would develop talent later on but you wouldn't know it from listening to the Germs, Lorna Doom and whoever couldn't keep time. Their first "shows" were just them going on stage at the Whiskey A Go Go and throwing food.
Azerrad - I guess I could read this but I just hope it's not some easy-reading Chuck Klosterman type stuff that could have just been published on a blog or something? I'm not necessarily opposed to reading speculative stuff in the HTH book but it has to be honest about being speculation, I've been down that road with stuff like Zodiac Unmasked and Dave Cullen's Columbine book and it typically does backfire very badly.
