Unrelated: observation. Essay question on the final

Sometime in the 1980s, watching and owning movies on tape became a crucial part of writing them. I'm watching Aliens right after the original Alien, and there's no way they'd have done the beginning like that had people had to go, by memory alone, the plot and its intricacies and specifically, the ending.
