We were a crappy generation....but there were plenty of attempts to make Iraq War movies that nobody remembered within two weeks of their release. Remember Rendition? In The Valley Of Elah? Brian De Palma's Redacted, which got some of the worst reviews of his career (and that's saying something)? Even Kathryn Bigelow has only made two movies since her big Oscar triumph and nobody cared much about the second one, Detroit.
