I guess people are still watching it, yes, but God knows why.
Typically when people dislike Fight Club nowadays it's for the honestly-not-invalid reason that the plot revolves around guys who join the "fight club" because they saw Edward Norton beating himself up in a parking lot! I know that a lot of people sneered at the Oscar nomination Pitt got for 12 Monkeys, and I'm a little surprised he won for Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, probably one of Hollywood's less relevant Oscar victories.
FC got a lot of hype before it came out, it's true. People were quoting the lines from the trailer all over the place. It was a surprise that it lost money. More than, say, Man On The Moon, which hasn't really stayed in the popular consciousness the way FC has.
