This was announced a couple months ago, but I'm only just now hearing about it because Pete Townshend popped up in an ad before my Youtube video talking about "my generation complained about the state of the planet and did nothing about it."
I still have the 16-song "deluxe" version from I think the late 90s and never bought any other edition, and there have been several reissues since then, which were themselves quite big.
I was only interested in Lifehouse as a story--I bet it would have been a terrible movie and the concept was so ridiculously untenable that I'm not surprised Pete was still 25 when he came up with it. A far worse case than SMiLE, really, where the album was basically "there" and the creator was suffering too many psychological problems to put it out.
I think "Pure And Easy" is a good song, but I've never understood how it was supposed to be any sort of a huge centerpiece or barn-burner epic like "Love Reign O'er Me" or "We're Not Gonna Take It."
