If I'd read about Janett Christman before, I'd forgotten her--I thought that the quintessential real-life "babysitter gets murdered" case was Evelyn Grace Hartley, who disappeared in 1953 from a Wisconsin house where she was babysitting, with a bloody crime scene and an enormous hunt for whoever did it afterwards, and rumors that Ed Gein got her. But Janett Christmas is from 1950!
