I talked to him about/get advice about the woman situation (actually an old boss from about 10 years ago -- we stayed friends when she left and caught up every now and again. One of those people. Ultimately I refused -- it's a fun thought and flattering but probably a bad idea so I just said I didn't want to get involved in anyone's marriage. One bad thing is that little old squishy beta leans-Republican-ish me would literally be cucking her MAGA redneck husband, which would have been the bragging rights of all bragging rights.)

After the exchange I mentioned he should come to Reddit Babble and he saw the message but didn't reply to it. So obviously he's avoiding the issue, which together with his not having posted here in ages, and posting less and less frequently before that, makes me think he was just fed up with/had outgrown the trolling and racism. Or maybe he's just moved on or proposed to his girlfriend or something. I just didn't ask.

He was perfectly friendly and spoke at length/not just in short utterances, so it doesn't seem like a sudden schism/disillusionment.
