Coaches know the difference between HS and travel softball. Coaches at the college level know what they are looking at and what they want.
Metrics are a guide, a set of basic requirements for a coach to guide recruitment. Every sport has them.
Not many athletes will click every box.
I also agree NCSA is a recruiting service $$$$$
I just think their metrics are pretty close.
I get too tired of adults saying their DD or player runs a 2.3sec 40yd, has a .500 batting average and can pitch 60+ mph.
People have no idea there is a difference from game speed, combine speed and "fat finger-stop watch" speed.
