Re: Hs ball"
It depends on how much work each pitcher gets in real games and their role in season. Many college pitchers are not pitching 6 days a week from my experience. Right now most D1 colleges are 30 games in. My daughter is the #1 starter for their rotation. At this point halfway through the season she typically throws 1 weekday session, either Tuesday or Wednesday, unless there is a midweek game. Other pitchers with less innings and appearances who come in for relief typically throw 2 weekday sessions, but even they are not throwing every day or 6 days a week. That's just unnecessary stress on their arms and bodies at this point. My daughter has other D1 pitcher friends and they are similar from what she told me. Even in the fall season and then pre-season (Jan - early Feb) my daughter was throwing 4 or 5 days max, definitely not 6 days. High School coaches that make a pitcher throw significant pitches 6 days a week are .
