Sure, no reason except to face off against the best talent ahead of going off to complete at the collegiate level. I agree that many "downshift" after signing but not THAT far down. It is possible the NAIA, NJCAA or even DIII schools may not mind but I have trouble thinking a mid-major coach and up would bless a young lady to just take er easy.
